Adele Valeria
Halo, apa kabar? I’m a 3rd year PhD student in the Department of Computer Science. I’ve been working with Dr. Karchin since early 2024 because I want to use my computational skills to support immunological research through methods development and data science. I’m particularly interested in immunogenic neoantigen prediction, which is key to developing effective cancer vaccines. In my first year of PhD, I worked on genomics analysis of immunoglobulin loci across mammals, which deepened my interest in computational immunology and immunogenomics. I earned my BSc Honours degree in Biomedical Informatics from Zhejiang University-University of Edinburgh Institute. Outside of academic life, I love working with my hands—whether it’s crocheting, machine knitting, cooking, or disassembling and assembling stuff. I also enjoy going on adventures and singing whenever I can! If you would like to know more about me, here is my website: https://www.cs.jhu.edu/~avaleria
